AGENDA ITEMS:
Host Welcome – Pat Walsh, Plant Manager, Coors RMMC – End Plant
Topic 1 – Growth Strategies Using “Eureka! Winning Ways” – Aleta Sherman, Director of Sales &
Marketing, Certified Growth Coach, CAMT
While lean implementation helps in cost and cycle-time reductions, strategies to improve
top line revenues should also be deployed in parallel or following lean initiative
implementation. To address this opportunity and help companies develop and
implement new growth options, Eureka! Winning Ways was created in the last year by
NIST MEP in conjunction with nationally known growth consultant Doug Hall. This service
provides companies with a disciplined process that helps companies create, filter, prioritize, and explore ideas for growth, based on data of real-world growth successes
from thousands of companies.
Topic 2 – Local Tools for Finding/Training a Qualified Workforce – Priscilla Bohl, Business Services Manager, Jefferson County Workforce Center
The Jefferson County Workforce Center and the community colleges work with local
manufacturers, providing a variety of services including workforce hiring and training
assistance. In some cases, training grants are available to help manufacturers meet their training needs. A copy of the Jefferson County Workforce Resource Guide will be given to all attendees.
A tour of the Coors RMMC – End Plant by Paul Schrock, Production Manager/JMC Steering Committee member will follow the program.
