Rocky Mountain Metropolitan Airport

Situated perfectly between Denver and Boulder on U.S. 36, Rocky Mountain Metropolitan Airport (RMMA), is the closest airport to both downtown Denver and Boulder. Classified as a general aviation reliever airport, RMMA relieves general aviation traffic from Denver International airport, a popular feature for businesses that take advantage of the fact that the airport is just 20 minutes from downtown Denver. RMMA is the fourth busiest airport in Colorado.

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has completed the design and started construction on the new 125-foot Air Traffic Control Tower. The tower is scheduled to open in the summer of 2011.
