Energy Business Forum  
 

Jefferson County has experienced an explosion in energy employment in the last five years, making it home to one-third of the energy-related workforce in the Denver Metro area. With industry leaders like the National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL), the Colorado Energy Research Institute (CERI), the Colorado Fuel Cell Center (opening in May), and the Colorado School of Mines, Jefferson County is leading the way in developing renewable energy technologies such as solar, wind, and biomass.

JEC will host its first ever Government Procurement Conference Tuesday, February 7 at the Arvada Center for Arts & Humanities. Registration begins at 8 AM for the all-day event.

13th Annual Industry Awards  
 

JEC and the Jefferson County Commissioners honored leading businesses in Jeffco that experienced significant growth in 2005. "Jefferson County: Something to shout about!" was the theme of this year’s event, as we celebrated these outstanding companies for JEC's 50th year. The 13th annual Industry Appreciation Awards Event was the morning of March 30, 2006, at the Arvada Center for the Arts and Humanities. More here.
