City of Golden
The City of Golden is one of Colorado's oldest communities and served as the Territorial Capital of Colorado from 1862 to 1867. Golden is a small community with a vibrant western character. The county seat of Jefferson County, Golden is superbly located at the base of the Rocky Mountain foothills near the intersection of five major transportation corridors. The City of Golden is committed to providing the highest quality of life and opportunity for its citizens through progressive, responsible, and innovative leadership.
