The City of Golden is one of Colorado's oldest communities and served as the Territorial Capital of Colorado from 1862 to 1867. Golden is a small community with a vibrant western character. The county seat of Jefferson County, Golden is superbly located at the base of the Rocky Mountain foothills near the intersection of five major transportation corridors.
